I heard a saying about the journey of life. The first 25 years of a person’s life, she is indebted to society and the family for raising and providing for her. For the 2nd 25 years, she returned the favor by working and contributing to society and raising her family. The 3rd 25 years is for herself, with less responsibility and maybe retirement, she should be able to do what she likes and enjoy the golden age of her life. After that, every day is extra and a blessing. I have gone through all stages and now am in my golden years and am thoroughly enjoying it!
So for my 70th birthday, we get together at Ucluelet, Vancouver Island for a celebration. My good friend Fan Yun designed a special paper-cut swan for me which represented longevity and health. I ordered T-shirts for everyone with the swan in front and a famous Confuscious quote on the back. The quote states “When a person turns 70 years old, she can do whatever she wants within the moral frame”. So I am doing just that!!! The following is a photo album of my celebrations!
