HM’s Quilts

Paper Piecing Origami Crane, my favoriate pattern

After retirement from the University of Missouri in 2003, I purchased a Bernina sewing machine, joined Boone Trial Quilt Guild, and started my journey in quilting. What I like the most about quilting is I never get bored with this art form. I always find new techniques to learn, new tools to play, and new videos to look at on YouTube. Even using the same template purchased from artists, I add my favorite fabrics, colors, emblements, and free-motion style to make a quilt uniquely mine. I traveled to different quilt shows with friends to get ideas from other quilters. It usually takes 3 months to make a baby quilt and a year for a wedding quilt. I gave away most of the quilts I made. The fun for me was in the making of the quilts and seeing the enjoyment of friends who received them. The Google Photo links show the quilts I made over the years (2004-present)
